The Hollywood Riviera saw another solid month with 7 homes sales at a median home price of $1,405,000.

Nearing $3,000,000 in the Hollywood Riviera?

It wasn’t long ago that most homes for sale in the Hollywood Riviera were priced around $1,000,000 with only the truly spectacular reaching towards the $2.0M mark.  Those days have past with $2,000,000+ being the new normal for big views and the abundance of high end flips in the area.  As of 2/8/17 there are 5 homes in the Hollywood Riviera priced over $2,000,000 and most are well over that formerly elusive price point.

Multiple Homes for Sale on Camino De Encanto…..Walking Distance to the Beach

It’s not often that we see homes come on the market in the lower Hollywood Riviera neighborhood that’s west of Palos Verdes Blvd.  Occassionally we see a home or two and more often than not, there is nothing on the market in this area.  What makes this part of the Hollywood Riviera so great is that it’s walking distance to Torrance Beach and not far from the downtown shopping and dining area of Riviera Village.

That certainly couldn’t be further from the case at the moment as there are 4 homes for sale on Camino De Encanto in the Hollywood Riviera.

Ghosts and goblins will mix with princesses and super heroes as Riviera Village hosts the annual Halloween Trick or Treat on Monday, October 31. Catalina Ave. will be closed to traffic from Ave. I to Palos Verdes Blvd., and the shops will hand out candy and treats from 4 to 6 pm.

This event has become a Redondo Beach tradition, attracting thousands of children each year to enjoy Halloween in a safe and fun atmosphere. Make an evening of it, and stop for dinner in one of the new restaurants in the Village. The Village restaurants are packed after all the Trick or Treating, so make your reservations early. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween and enjoy all that Riviera Village has to offer!

The chart above shows the number of active listings, homes in escrow and sold homes for each month in the Hollywood Riviera.

The chart above shows the average price per foot of homes in the area. While this can be a helpful statistic it’s not always as relevant in an area such as the Hollywood Riviera in which homes can differ so greatly in terms of upgrades, views, age, etc.

The chart above shows the average days on market as well as the % of how close homes are selling to their original list price.

The chart above shows the average list prices of the homes as well as the average selling prices of the homes.

The chart above shows the months of inventory on the market or how long it would take to sell all of the homes. The higher the number the more of a buyers market it tends to be.

Big Home Sales Numbers in Torrance and Redondo for June 2016

The numbers are in and June 2016 was a big month in terms of both the number of homes sold and the prices.  Home prices were up year over year in every South Bay city other than Manhattan Beach.

12 homes sold in the Hollywood Riviera for June with a median home price of $1,177,000

Torrance CA posted some very big numbers.  141 homes and properties sold in June at a very respectable median price of $640,000 which is higher than normal.  To see the homes sold in Redondo Beach for June 2016 view our recent sales information.
