September Home Sales and Property Prices in Redondo Beach

September 2020 was a big month for home sales in the coastal community of Redondo Beach.  There were a very impressive 110 home, townhome and condo sales during the month.   Compare that with just 63 sales in September of 2019!  Equally impressive was the median home sales price of $1,249,000 and only 27 days on market.

Redondo Beach Real Estate Market Recap for August

August was a big month throughout the South Bay for home sales and Redondo Beach  was particularly impressive.  The median sales price was $1,222,000 and there were 102 homes sold which was particularly amazing and was a multi year high.  The Hollywood Riviera saw 21 home sales during the month with a median of $1,510,000.   View all of the homes that sold in the Hollywood Riviera last month.

Redondo Beach Real Estate Market Recap for July 2020

July 2020 was a banner month for real estate in Redondo Beach.   There were 93 home sales in July which was a huge month and really indicated the pent up demand caused by the uncertainty in April and May.  The median home price for the properties that sold in July was an extremely impressive $1,298,000.

Congratulations to the sellers of 206 Ruby in South Redondo Beach.  We just successfully closed escrow at $910,000.  This was a 2 bed, 2 1/2 bath townhome with beautiful updates and upgrades throughout and ideally located just 2 blocks from the beach.

Latest Oceanfront Home on Paseo De La Playa Goes Into Escrow Off Market

529 Paseo De La Playa - sold at $5,650,000

The latest beachfront offering, located at 529 Paseo De La Playa never even made it to the market before selling. This was a fairly original home but was unique in a few ways including the extensive work done to the hillside allowing for a permitted walkway down to the beach.

The home itself has lots of potential and a great flat backyard area with incredible views. The home  hit the market at $5,800,000 and offered 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and just under 3,200 square feet of living space on a huge (although typical for the homes on the west side of the street) 22,000 foot lot that extends down to the sand.

This is one of our absolute favorite locations in the South Bay.

 

Real Estate Stats for May

Welcome to our real estate recap for Torrance CA. While the homes in the Hollywood Riviera might have a Redondo Beach mailing address, they’re actually in and serviced by the city of Torrance so it’s good to keep an eye on both the Redondo Beach real estate market and the Torrance real estate market. The number of homes that sold had a huge drop going from 123 closed home sales in May of 2019 to only 49 in May of 2020.  The good news is that home prices were solid with a median sales price of $786,000 and an average price per foot of $514.  The homes that sold averaged only 20 days on market.  View a list of the homes that sold over the past month.
