For the Second Straight Month The Top Home Sale New Construction Attached Townhome
Well we thought the sale of the front “A” unit in March for $3.2M was maybe a one off but for the second straight month the top home sale in the Hollywood Riviera was an attached townhome. The only townhomes or condos we’ve seen in this range had been for oceanfront Esplanade units so these latest sales are pretty amazing. This was a very high end luxury townhome just a block west of the shopping and dining of Riviera Village and only a few blocks to the beach, but regardless of the location…..these are HUGE numbers for a townhome…..especially an attached townhome with shared walls! The home offered 4 bedrooms plus an office with high end finishes throughout. There was not view from the interior but did have an ocean view roof top deck. The home sold before it hit the market and closed at a pretty amazing $3.2M.

While the Hollywood Riviera is technically in the city of Torrance, it has a South Redondo Beach mailing address so it’s good to keep up with both markets. It was a great month for home sales and property prices in Redondo Beach. It was slower than the previous year with only 79 home sales compared with a pretty incredible 110 in September 2020. The median sales price was $1,375,000 compared with $1,149,000 a year earlier. Homes averaged only 14 days on market before going into escrow. January was a great month for real estate in Redondo Beach especially in terms of the home prices of the homes that sold during the month. In terms of the number of homes that sold it was slower than the prior months but that’s not unusual as the holidays really slow the homes going into esrow during December.
