After a hiatus off of the market since August of 2020 the beachfront home at 505 Paseo De La Playa is back on the market.  It had been on the market during the summer of 2020 listed at $5,500,000 at the time.

With a home like this you’re definitely paying for location as it’s a fairly original home but the location just can’t be beat.  The last sale of something fairly similar was 529 Paseo De La Playa which was a 4 bed, 3 bath single family home with a bit under 3200 feet that sold at $5,650,000.

505 Paseo De La Playa offers the same specs with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and the same 3,179 square feet.  The lot on 505 is a bit larger and extends all the way to the beach, but the home at 529 had done significant work to the bluff at a pretty marjor  cost.

2020 Redondo Beach Real Estate Market Review

Welcome to the real estate recap for Redondo Beach in 2020.  It was an incredible year for the Redondo Beach real estate market with 829 on MLS home and property sales compared with 861 in 2019.  The median sales price was a very impressive $1,250,000.  The homes only averaged 29 days on market before selling and the average price per foot was up quite a bit from 2019 to $651 a foot in 2020.

529 Paseo De La Playa - Top Home Sale of 2020 - Sold at $5,650,000

It’s not surprise that the highest priced home sale of the year in the Hollywood Riviera was a beachfront property on Paseo De La Playa. 529 Paseo De La Playa closed at $5,650,000 after a very brief time on the market listed at $5,800,000.  It was fairly original but as the pictures indicate…..the views, the views the views.  It also had extensive work done on the bluff to protect from erosion and allow a path to the beach so this is definitely going to be spectacular in the future.  There are actually 3 current listings on Paseo De La Playa all at  list prices that dward the $5,650,000 that this home sold for.  View the current homes on Paseo De La Playa here.
