We recently posted that 505 Paseo De La Playa, a single family oceanfront home on the bluffs above Torrance Beach was back on the market.  Now it’s back off of the market so we’ll keep our eye on this one.

After being pulled of of the market for a short period of time, the oceanfront home at 505 Paseo De La Playa was briefly back on the market and avilable priced at $5,500,000. As with many of the sales on Paseo De La Playa it’s an older home in fairly original condition but it’s tough to beat the location. It offers 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and almost 3,200 square feet on an expansive 26,985 square foot lot (BTV) that stretches all the way to the beach.

Record breaking home prices in the hollywood Riviera

The Hollywood Riviera is one of the great neighborhoods of the South Bay and values have skyrocketed over the past 10 years.  Having said that the current median price of $2,235,000 is truly unbelievable and rivals some of it’s more expensive neighbors of Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach.  Granted there are 2 oceanfront homes on the market, one at 505 Paseo De La Playa listed at $5,500,000 and another at $12,000,000 at 425 Paseo De La Playa but the median price and average list price of $3,787,679 are just staggering.

Latest Oceanfront Home on Paseo De La Playa Goes Into Escrow Off Market

529 Paseo De La Playa - sold at $5,650,000

The latest beachfront offering, located at 529 Paseo De La Playa never even made it to the market before selling. This was a fairly original home but was unique in a few ways including the extensive work done to the hillside allowing for a permitted walkway down to the beach.

The home itself has lots of potential and a great flat backyard area with incredible views. The home  hit the market at $5,800,000 and offered 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and just under 3,200 square feet of living space on a huge (although typical for the homes on the west side of the street) 22,000 foot lot that extends down to the sand.

This is one of our absolute favorite locations in the South Bay.
